Within the periodic training carried out by the Safety Section personnel in the Waha field to maintain efficiency and quick in emergency situations, on Sunday evening, 04th Sept 2022, the personnel of the section conducted a night training on the scenario of a fire in a crude oil tank with cases of injuries inside.
The training was conducted in the new training ground of the Safety Section, where 2 fire trucks, a rescue equipment vehicle, and an ambulance were used, in addition to 13 firefighters, who were divided into (4) firefighting teams and a fifth team that undertakes the rescue mission.
The level of performance was very good and the response time was 4 minutes and 11 seconds from the time of reporting until the firefighting teams arrived at the fire site in the training ground, and 5 minutes and 32 seconds to start the firefighting operation.
It took the firefighting teams 7 minutes and 19 seconds to isolate the area in which the injured case was in danger and secure it so that the rescue team can enter to save the injured.
The rescue team took 3 minutes and 11 seconds to perform first aid and secure the injured and those who were taken out of the danger zone.
